A strong tattoo has to do more than look good as a drawing. It needs to fit the placement, remain readable from a normal viewing distance, and hold together as the body moves. Josh approaches each project by considering the subject, scale, contrast, color, and how the composition should flow across the chosen area.
Reference images are welcome as a way to explain direction. The final artwork is developed for the individual client and placement rather than copied directly from someone else’s tattoo.
