Composition analysis

What the finished tattoo shows.

Traditional tattooing depends on clarity. The tiger’s face, stripes, and outer silhouette need to remain understandable before the viewer studies smaller details.

The rounded shoulder changes how the design appears from the front, side, and back. A strong contour and controlled internal shapes allow the subject to stay intact as it wraps around the body.

Design challenges

How the composition solves the body area.

Planning a related project

Use the design principles. Do not request a copy.

Bring the subject, mood, placement, size, and references that explain what you like about this work. Josh will design for your body and idea rather than reproduce another client’s tattoo.

Photography note

Fresh and healed claims are labeled only when confirmed.

The current portfolio provides the photograph shown on this page. A separately identified healed photograph and exact session record have not been published for this project, so the page does not imply either one.
